Doctor Duck guest comic

A while back I got the opportunity to do a guest comic for Lee Gracie's "Doctor Duck."  It was a lot of fun to do and it is finally up for everyone to see.  Here is the first page of my 7 page guest comic, head on over to doctorduckcomics.blogspot.com  to see the rest!  (Pages 1-3 are up now, 4-7 will be posted on Thursday)

cartoon self portrait

Here is a self portrait, with me as a cartoon bear.  I spent a good deal of time coloring it digitally, I don't know much about using photoshop as a drawing/painting tool, so a most things I end up finding out by trial and error.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, although looking at it for so long on the computer made me really notice some parts of the original drawing that I wished I had done differently.

Here is the original scan, for good measure.

watercolor and wizards

I really want to get better with watercolor, so I am practicing with some cheap paints I had lying around.  I have a couple tubes of the good stuff, and I'm really looking forward to getting rid of the cheap ones so I can replace them :)

Slime Goat!  I love this guy.

Here is one of those toad men from a few posts back.  I'm planning some GURPS adventures soon where these guys will make an appearance.  My scanner made the colors on this look more red than they actually are, but I didn't want to fiddle with it in Photoshop.

Another wizard.  I got a little loose with the paint on this one, but I'm pleased with it.

GOBLINS

These guys are some more watercolor practice for me.

This guy turned out more green than I wanted, so I think he looks more like the Incredible Hulk crossed with a Skyrim Orc.  I would like to redo this one later, because I really like the idea of a big bruiser goblin with a busted face.

This one I am very pleased with.  The scan makes his skin tone a little more pink, but on the paper it has a more yellow tone which is what I was going for.  He looks like a shifty bastard, and I like it.

More Wizards, fantasy junk

Here are some more wizard studies, I'm am trying to figure out a character I am developing for a role playing campaign.

Here are some Toad-men, possible monsters.  I have been brainstorming monsters a lot, I have tons of doodles in my sketchbook of goblins, ghouls, and other stuff.  If past adventures are any indication, I have a big soft spot of amphibian men.  I am quite pleased with the way this dude turned out.

Finally, here is a little ink painting I did for practice.  This little mushroom guy is not having a good time...
